James Harrison, a NFL linebacker, took away his kids participation trophies and posten on the app, Instagram, about it. After this a debate has broken out whether kids should get participation trophies or not. There are many great reasons why these participation trophies our bad for our society.
There are many reasons why participation trophies are a bad idea. One of my reasons why kids should not get participation trophies because it affects the kids as they get older and go through life. When kids get trophies for just playing a sport they will soon get used to always getting a trophy for laying each time.
