Pros And Cons Of Owning A Dog

There are many ups and downs of owning a dog. There are also many different types of responsibilities for dog ownership, too. There are long haired dogs which have to be washed and brushed often. Then there are short haired dogs who rarely have to be washed and brushed. There are many different things that go into having a dog but, there are specifically pros and cons that go into taking care of a frisky canine.
There are many pros that go into taking care of a dog, no matter what breed it is. They can improve your health by reducing stress and alleviating loneliness. They are also good for your health because they require you to exercise them. Dogs and humans both need exercise to stay healthy. For exercise there are runs and walks that you can go on. I know some dog owners get exercise from giving their dogs baths. They also reduce stress by lowering your blood pressure and lowering your heart rate.
The next pro of dog ownership is that they teach you responsibility. There are many things that go into taking care of a dog and one thing is keeping them healthy. One of them is taking them to the vet and the groomer. This also helps you learn money management because taking care of a dog can be very expensive. You have to pay for the vet bills for when they get sick, and for their shots and medicines. The

Dogs can be very messy and require a lot of maintenance. Puppies tend to chew things up and go to the bathroom in the house (at least our dog did, non-stop). When this happens, there are often stains and mess to clean up. On top of the cleaning, it can also be very expensive to replace the things they have destroyed. There are also the vet bills, groomer bills and bills for the invisible fence (if you have one). Another con is that most dogs shed.
