First of all, it gives manufacturers and companies to abuse power over workers. Because foreign labor costs less, they can basically produce more for slave prices; also, should someone say that they don’t’ agree with this work, they can simply be laid off and replaced with other workers for different countries. What’s more, it also limits the quality of merchandise produced. Many firms that outsource cut quality of the product to increase the amount shipped out; this horribly affects consumers while the firms make tons of money off of it. It’s possible for, say a country like China to not be allowed to have any interference with us whatsoever; it’s called an embargo. An embargo is an official ban on trade or commercial activity with a certain country. An example of what would happen should America decide to crack down on child labor in other countries they can create an embargo. They would do this in order to coerce China into ending child labor within their country. The embargo would limit them of supplies that they needed from America, and other allied nations could join in the embargo so they couldn’t get said supplies anywhere else. This would ALSO, stop companies from giving material, or taking material from outside countries. Because the embargo is essentially a two-way street; nothing comes in and nothing goes
