If IndyCar hired me as their strategic marketing analyst, I would encourage the league to focus its efforts on road courses, as well as, oval tracks for its racing venues. Oval tracks were initially built for stock car racing (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014); however, I think open-wheel racing can also be a part of this venue. The IndyCar league differs from NASCAR for the one reason they can reach speeds that far exceed stock car racing; however, this does bring the safety of the driver to the forefront. According to (Ferrell & Hartline, 2014), fans prefer oval tracks; however, I am confident with a unique marketing approach and creative market segmentation (Robson, Pitt & Wallstrom, 2013), the racing arena could withstand various
