Healthcare in the United States has seen its many ups and downs. The most recent reform to the healthcare system the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) aka Obama Care has proven to better the economy rather than harm it. Shortly after its inaction speculations abound as to how harmful this new policy would be to the overall economy. However, there has been improvements in the economy contrary to the outcomes predicted. Thus in the paragraphs to follow we will look at the current healthcare system, the effects of the ACA on the economy over the last several years, health insurance pros and cons, and what can be done to curtail the harmful effects of the out of control healthcare costs on the economy.
