The nursing care plan and care map both definitely have their pros and cons. These two techniques are very new to me, and I was apprehensive about trying them. But I must say that once I got started, the point of both strategies became clear to me. The care map really helped me see how to cluster all the different information together. It gave me a visual, which was nice. The care plan is not as nice when it comes to clustering data together. If I had not already clustered the information in the care map it would have taken me much longer to come up with a nursing diagnosis for the care plan.
