There are many problems with Nuclear bombs one of them is if someone dangerous decides to use them. What if Kim Jong Un is a unstable sociopath. If he had decided to detonate some of his bombs on America like he has threatened to on multiple occasions. Another situation would be if terrorists got their hands on a nuke. Just think all the destruction they did with planes, now think what they could do with a nuke. Terrorist groups have tried to steal nukes before, old USSR ones. If they had of succeeded think of the destruction they could have caused. Another issue with Nuclear weapons is human error. There have been lots of occasions where the people watching and …show more content…
After a nuclear explosion the radiation cloud can cause diseases like cancer. It can also cause mutation which make life very hard. It can also cause nuclear winters if enough nuclear bombs are dropped. This would make temperatures drop 20 to 30 degrees celsius. Which would kill most plant life, one other thing it would do is cause air pollution. Another problem is we have way too many nuclear bombs. We have around 16,000 known nuclear bombs in the world. There are 4,800 alone in the US which is enough to blow up the world 3 times. They are also considered useless according to a scientist working for the US. When someone has 4,800 of something they really do not need that would make them a major horter. One last problem that I will talk about in this essay is is the costs. It costs billions of dollars to update and maintain all these Nuclear weapons. It cost 2 million dollars just for that. The US spends around 20 billion dollars on nuclear arsenal. It will cost $8 billion to $10 billion to refurbish 400 to 500 B61 bombs about $20 million each. Why would we spend all this money on things that are dangerous never use and are basically useless.
In conclusion I think nuclear bombs should not be in the world. The cost too much money, they are dangerous, and we make too many mistakes with them, and are too
