Neutrogena is known for their acne or skin care line up. However, are they as impressive as they are said to be. The Grapefruit Oil Free Acne-Wash,has had many ads to the way it works. Even though it is seemed to be so great, there are some faults that this product has. For example, I remember the first time I used it my skin was dried out I had to run for my moisturizer, since my face was dying for moisture. There are more faults from the scent, or even the results. Even though it is supposed to get rid of your acne, it may not work for all skin types. However, it may seem like a waste of time and money this product also has many benefits, that will make your skin better and cleaner. The real question is that, do the pros outweigh the cons? Neutrogena is a brand that is well known for having cosmetics that are good for you skin in many ways, from promising to clean or hydrate. However, this oil free acne wash is known to clean and get rid of pores and acne which can be difficult to get rid of. It cleans the face well. Where after one use I noticed my face to be cleaner. ALthough it does dry out the face that is what you’d expect from a cleanser. ALso, it last longs and smells great. It smells like grapefruit, also a 4oz bottle lasted me two months which is amazing, which i wasn’t the only one using this product. A little goes along way when speaking of this product. However, does it meet up to the task of a cleanser. In my opinion, yes it does. The job of a cleanser it to get rid of all the sebum and oil in you face, to clean to put it simply. I used this product and recieved results right away. I stopped breaking out so much. SO i feel as a product for stopping pimples it did its job and cleaned

Body Bacteria Exploring the Skin’s Microbial Metropolis by Allison Maclachla, Personally I found this article very engaging yet descriptive. Especially when she explained that not all bacteria are bad for you, and then continues to state some are very helpful. For instance she touches base on Staphylococcus epidermis, and how it shields us by taking up the space that Staphylococcus aureus would otherwise conquer. It’s intriguing to now know that acne (Acne vulgaris) the most common skin bacterium, works the same way. Acne vulgaris invades certain parts of our body to hold back other harmful bacteria from penetrating specific areas.…

Don’t you just hate having those stubborn pimples that do not seem to go away? I had this problem my senior year of high school, when I began to get severe acne on my face. It was definitely a phase in my life that was overwhelming, because I had never felt more insecure. I purchased many different products that I thought would work, but none of them seemed to make it any better. Finally, I came across a mask that was well reviewed on Amazon; therefore I decided to give it a try.…

Katy perry cares about you, and wants you to know she understands your plight in becoming acne free. In addition, there are the fairly ambiguous claims like "Helps clear and prevent acne blemishes”, “Works on all kinds of acne”, and “Effective on all skin types”. Here, Proactive is suggesting something positive without really making any promises that their product will absolutely yield results, which is something Metzl points out in Prozac on the Couch. He explains, “Advertisements are not so much full of information as they are empty or loose. Advertisements create anxiety and then provide their viewers the relevant information with which to construct a narrative that resolves the anxiety with an understanding of—to be followed, it is hoped, by the consumption of—the brand-named object being…

That is quite a promise and claim. The message is that if you use this product line your skin will look better in two weeks and may even look like the model in the advertisement (who 's photo has probably been perfected by a computer program). I am not a dermatologist or skin expert, but I do know that once your skin has damage, such as wrinkles, spots from the sun damage or age, there is no way to reverse the affects. Especially not with an over the counter skin care line in the price range of Oil of Olay products. I believe this ad makes big promises that will not come true, however, it is not unethical since worst case scenario will be consumers that are disappointed that they spent money on a product line that they thought would improve their skin when it does…
