Question: Students in many western universities today come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. How can educational institutions turn this cultural diversity into an asset rather than a disadvantage?

With the development of globalization, students in western counties’ universities have more students with multicultural backgrounds. That obviously raises new issues and fresh advantages. This article is going to present the pros and cons of this change solve the question that how to suggest educational institutions. Because researches are most old and experiments have errors on variables, this text is relatively limited. Moreover, the argument illustrates that multicultural educational environment can ethnically oriented people to remind of their cultural meanings. To more detailed, with the globalization and development, we have to carry out putting the harmonious development need of diverse cultures forward, which rooting in multinational nature. Secondly, the significant challenge in 21 century, involvement of large amount of foreign personal qualities, requires relevant intercultural education. Thirdly, because the young has not only optimistic feature, but negative qualities: alcoholism, drug abuse, Juvenile crime, social and racial intolerance, immorality, etc. They would be easier to realize ethical standards and personal value among international qualities. Even though there are a lot of ethnical problems with the globalization and development, we can also change the educational environment to develop students properly. Therefore, educational institutions should ensure the educational environment is suitable by having culture contest and other activities as well as stalling security
