Medical Marijuana “To use or not to use?”--that is the real question at hand. Medicinal marijuana can be used for healing processes but can also have some side effects. Marijuana recipients can abuse the product and make it, as the article says, a “wider distribution”. The pros of legalizing marijuana can range from many varieties. Medical marijuana can help stop chronic pain, glaucoma, nausea, pain, movement disorders, and can also act as a stress-reliever. Patients that suffer from epilepsy can get relief by cannabidiol, a chemical in cannabis, that helps alleviate the …show more content…
It can also be grown in many different climates and soils. The cannabis doesn’t even have to use fertilizers that can damage the plant. By growing the plant we can increase the nutrient levels of the soil for the use of farming. The small upkeep and easy growing makes the product inexpensive to the patient who is in need of it.
However there is many cons against medical marijuana. The legalization of it could cause social and legal issues. There is always that chance that the younger population would want to start smoking it, to make them look cool. Also, many people not supporting medical marijuana state that there is still little proof that marijuana has any medicinal value.
Another issue with medical marijuana is that it can slow down your reflexes. If someone that had just smoked medical marijuana and decided to drive, they could possibly wreck if they didn’t see an animal quick enough in the road. This could also cause put other drivers at risk on the road. It wouldn’t just affect the person smoking it, it can affect the people around
