Proponents of compulsory military service claim that allowing volunteer only system, would threaten the country’s national security. However, opponents refuted this by proving that the number of soldiers is not the factor that makes a military strong, but rather the quality and readiness of the soldiers. In spite of some benefits of compulsory drafting, it also comes with a large number of limitations. First of which is its lack of regard to each individual aptness to join the military. Citizens who join the military should make their choice while being aware of the huge amount of violence and danger they are going to face, as well as being ready to cope with it both physically and mentally. Finally, volunteer drafting is the more civilized and better approach to military service, and should be made the only available option worldwide.
