Should the drinking age be lowered? I believe if we are adults then we can drink. If we can go into the military at 18 why not be able to drink. Sometimes bad things happen if you go to college with never drinking before. Most parents think we shouldn’t drink because we can get drunk and do stupid things, why not let us make choice.
I am old enough to make my own choices I’m 18. So I’m an adult I believe that drinking age should be lowered because if we are considered an adult then we should be treated as one. Most people differ my opinion they think the brain isn’t ready for beer. Then why consider us an adult if they don’t think we should drink or our brain isn’t ready for it.
If we fight in the army then we should be able to be trusted to sit down and have a drink. We are independent we can make our own choices. We are adults so treat us as you do other adults. I feel that it’s time we make acutely make our own choices instead of everyone else. …show more content…
Ok so for instant let’s say little Johnny is about to graduate from high school and has never touched a drop of alcohol and so he goes to college. Then end up going to a college party some kids talk Johnny into drinking 2 to 3 beers and he’s drunk. So know he has to go home no driver or anything so Johnny gets in his pickup and drives home. On the way home Johnny isn’t thinking right so end up rolling his pickup and die’s. I’m not saying drinking is 100% right but 98% of teens drink so don’t you think it would be better if he had drank before so then he doesn’t get drunk off of 2 to 3 beer’s. That’s just my
