People are in control of their own lives, in many occasions citizens in America have the choice to control their own lives unbothered. But when physician assisted suicide is mentioned, Tennessee disagrees with the practice. If physicians have the job to practice medicine, then Tennessee should permit professionals to do their jobs. A Tennessean by the name of John Jay Hooker has terminal cancer, and he desires assisted suicide, but a judge ruled against his request. The judge claims that physician assisted suicide is “criminal conduct” (Tennesseans). If other states have legalized this problem solver, then Tennessee should because if they truly cared for their citizens, legalization would not be questioned. Also, Tennessee should consider the lives of physicians, it is their occupation and citizens lives that truly matter.
