As the 2016 Primary Election is nearing, the question on everybody's mind is, “Who should I vote for?” Hillary Clinton should be the obvious answer. Her stand on education is phenomenal, and something that all Americans can probably agree on is that this year’s presidential debate has contained a lot of name calling and pointing fingers. The one candidate that stands their ground, and instead of name calling and pointing out the other person's campaign flaws is Clinton, who just continues to say what she can do as president and not what the others could not do. With graduations approaching, high school kids are struggling to answer how they are going to pay for college. Hillary Clinton has a new college plan with three simple components. The first one is to ensure that no student has to borrow money to pay for tuition, book, or fees to attend a four-year public college in their state.(“Issues-College”) She also says that the student will have to contribute their earnings from working 10 hours a week. Families will also have to make an affordable and reasonable contribution to the students education. That is not much to ask especially when she is going to cut interest rates on loans. …show more content…

course, I am disgusted by the stories that dominate the election campaign. I am disgusted as a law professor, an attorney, a father of daughters, and as a rabbi. Women making accusations that they have been sexually abused — Paula Corbin Jones who received an $850,000 settlement from Bill Clinton; Kathleen Willey who went to Bill Clinton in the White House, desperate for a job after her husband killed himself; Juanita Broaddrick, a Clinton volunteer who insists he raped her; the new list of women whose names I am only now learning who say that Donald Trump groped or kissed them against their will. The abused women whose reputations and lives were destroyed by Hillary Clinton, as she defended her husband’s public profile after each “bimbo eruption.”…

An ambitious high school student, a current college student, and a parent could tremendously benefit from the College For All Act currently being debated in congress. It’s a bill that could send millions of children to college, and despite what Wall-Street's’ warring lobbyists argue, it can easily be affordable. It is funded by the Robin Hood Tax, a sister bill being introduced along-side the C.F.A.A. which innocently places a simple sales tax on Wall-Street speculation. The tax charges an additional one half of one percent charge for selling stocks, a much needed, but immensely modest discouragement of speculation, which has been among the main causes of economic crashes in recent history. Socialism comes to mind for several opponents of this bill, many people argue that they shouldn’t have to finance other peoples education and that those people should pay their own way through college.…

Should College Be Free in America? Every year in America, thousands of new high school graduates pack their bags, move to new cities, and sign papers accepting loans they might not be able to pay back. Parents shovel out thousands to colleges, with the risk of their child neglecting the responsibility of study, and dropping their courses. Students who do not qualify for scholarships have to use up time that would allow them to study properly because they need to get part-time jobs in order to just stay in college. In other countries all over the world, tuition for college is free.…

As tuition and fees continue to get higher, scholarships will be more challenging to achieve, and the student will have to get multiple student loans to cover it. “Tuition and fees at public colleges soared a record 14 percent this year, continuing a quarter-century trend of higher-education prices rocketing faster than inflation,” (Price 3). It is true that the government has not always funded the children through the twelfth grade, but times have changed, (Kingsley 16). On one hand, some would argue that students can get apply for a loan or financial aid to pay for college.
