Williams High School Junior named Gaurav Bhanot. His main problem in life, just like me, was balancing his time with school work and after school activities like sports. Like Makori, Bhanot had a successful middle school when it came to grades, he achieved the honor roll in almost every quarter in middle school. Honor roll in school is when you achieve at least all A’s and B’s on the report card with a 3.0 gpa or higher. Bhanot claimed middle school was fun because it was easy and he had nothing to worry about during middle school. Back in middle school, he said he only did homework for about one hour a day and for the rest of day he got me play soccer for his team or with his friends. But in high school, he claimed a handful of distractions and problems managing time was introduced to him. When he entered T.C. Williams High School as a student, he was excited for new challenges and to participate with the school football team. He explained that he didn’t think high school would be hard, he said with a guilty grin that he believed workload won’t change and he would manage his team better. He went through with me his first day of high school. He said when he went to each class, he was given a syllabus on what was expected for students, and how the workload would be for each class. Bhanot stated that he was surprised about what he read in the syllabus and on what the teachers expected of students, he was immediately alarmed because he could see the workload being a lot for his classes. Bhanot was scared because he was expecting homework from four of his seven classes each night. While he was in middle, he only had homework from about two of his classes. But instead of taking action, he ignored it and still believed he could breeze by in his new situation. A week later, he told me, that he felt the effects of much more work, and much less time. He would usually go through a day full of learning at school,
