On average a typical shift for a police officer is anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. They work all hours of they day and night. They have to write many reports, patrol the streets and respond to any call of duty they receive. They are constantly busy throughout their whole shift and always prepared for the worst. Add on the stress of the job and I’m sure that greatly affects the workload of an officer as well.

We don’t want the people who look after our wellbeing to be tired, frustrated, and pissed off because they are over worked. We want them to be at the top of their game and be on high alert at all times, but how can we asked that of them with all that they have to do? To be honest it’s quite unfair to all the hard working police officers in America.
So, what is the solution to this problem? As I mention earlier, we already know that there is a shortage of policing in America. Less and less people want to become a police officer, but the only way to resolve this issue is to have more police officers in America. Why should people risk being a police officer when there are so many other jobs that pay more and are less dangerous?
Unless conditions get better this problem could definitely evolve into a bigger one. Maybe if police officers salaries are increased and the danger of the job goes down we will see more people wanting to become police officers. However, that is HIGHLY unreasonable and almost impossible to happen at this point in
