Gun fire rained down on the crowd. Everyone was running around trying to find safety. It was a war zone. People started dropping left and right. Blood was making pools in the field. Innocent civilians covered their loved ones. Screaming. People seeing their loved ones fall to the ground.
All of this was happening during the Las Vegas Mass shooting. A gun man shot at innocent civilians for many minutes while no one knew where this guy was. Spending the most of his time getting these guns legally with no bumps in the road. This man did not do anything illegal to get any guns or ammo but he still was the man that brought terror to innocent civilians. These innocent civilians were out their getting shot at and could do nothing but pray they were not shot. Even though there are many mass killings with guns they should not make gun laws stricter and remove guns from

So why should people be going for more gun control? More gun control would only take guns out of law abiding citizen’s hands. As well as with gun control the criminals will find their way to get ahold of what they need. If they cannot get it legally they will turn to the illegal way. Which in that case, gun violence would still be happening and all gun control is doing it removing guns from innocent citizens. Published in “The Leading Source for Pros and Cons of Controversial Issues”, “Of 62 mass shootings in the United States between 1982 and 2012, 49 of the shooters used legally obtained guns. Collectively, 143 guns were possessed by the killers with about 75% obtained legally” (Gun Control 3). Guns were legally purchased and were used in mass murders. When guns are legally purchased how we are supposed to stop a non-motive killer that has no background problems? Now if we put more gun control it is just going to piss off the innocent citizens and the criminals are still going to get their hands on guns. Coming from the same website it says as

I do agree that there is a need for better gun control laws, but people need to know the real statistics, not something that is made up just so you can push your agenda. Gun controlled has become largely publicized in the past few years. Gun control is now becoming more highlighted because of the major recent shootings. Some of these shootings include Pulse Night Club, San Bernardino, Sandy Hook Elementary, etc. The media reports untrue statistics such as: that more than a thousand children die yearly in gun accidents, there is proof that longer waiting periods for a gun license lowers crime, crime will go drop if more people are armed,…

I believe that policy 2 that states, Law prohibits rapid fire, fully automatic machine guns, but allows semi-automatic assault rifles is constitional. According to the Second Admendment, a well regulated Militia is the key phrase. I interpet the Second Admendment as a means to regulate the firerate instead of the type of firearm itself. Semi-automatic weapons, specifically the AR-15 is one of the most commonly owned rifles in the United…

With every gun that is made, innocent lives have the opportunity to be lost. People are afraid to go outside because they’re aware of all the violence that has been happening in Chicago. Many families can’t get to work or bring their children to school because they’re afraid their children might get injured. Chicago’s gun violence has had an extensive effect on people that lived in Englewood. Passing more gun laws can affect Chicago’s Englewood community in many ways: such as decreasing the number of deaths each year, creating a safer environment and allowing people to be more successful.…

One of the top three things that liberals and conservatives tend to fight about 24/7 is gun control. Liberals tend to believe that with stricter gun control laws there will be a decrease in gun violence. While conservatives tend to think that with stricter gun control laws won 't just breach the second amendment but it will also cause more gun related violence. In the online article “OUR OPINION: Gun Owners ' Support Needed to Stop Mass Killings” by The Editorial Board written for CentralMain.com, The Editorial Board states how conservatives are the ones that hold the key in order to make any changes with the gun control laws, they also go on about how Americans should stop throwing the same old arguments at each other and actually do something…

In the United States, there are certain rights that are protected by law but there is also some people that believe that it should not be protected. The second amendment which grants the right to bear arms has been a topic of an ongoing debate of whether or not the government should have more gun control. The two sides have really good point of views. One side maybe want less gun control because owning guns keeps them more secure in case of emergencies, for example: if people are breaking in homes, the residents with guns can fight back in case the home invaders have guns on them. Another example, people may need more guns in case of bigger threats like terrorist attacks and so on.…

The third point that I want to bring up is the 62 mass shootings in the United States between 1982 and 2012, 49 of the shooters used legally obtained guns. Collectively, 143 guns were possessed by the killers with about 75% obtained legally. The process people learn about these acts are through the media portraying it in the way which the media wants you to know. Many times the questions asked of the innocent bystanders are one sided, directed in a certain direction and it doesn’t give the American people the whole story. The gun control laws are not the issue, it is the way we teach people on the ways they are supposed to be used.…

He mentioned several cases in which people who were mentally unstable had guns and used them to harm other people. It is important to take into consideration all of the cases around the nation in which a man or woman shot and killed innocent people. Gun control does not decrease the murder rate, neither does it strip criminals of their firearms. It does not seem fair that the government will enforce gun control laws, but will not disarm criminals. In simple words, gun control will not solve the problem that is known as gun violence.…

I was terrified at the images I was seeing: black smoke and dust everywhere, and what seemed like thousands of people running franticly. I begin to pray, thanking the Lord that I was in no immediate danger, asking Him to keep those who were in the chaos safe and to be with the families who had lost loved ones. I remember my thoughts were all over the place: wondering if the world was coming to an end, how this could have happened here in the United States, and why anyone would want to cause so much death and pain. Then I thought about those who had died and their families, those who were in the building that had not been found, what the first responders were seeing and what they were feeling.…

Gun control causes a lot of violence and crime in the U.S., there needs to be more restrictions. Make it harder for Americans to purchase handguns, but can carry them as concealed weapons for protection. In the last year, ten thousand seven hundred and twenty eight people died from getting shot by a handgun(Gun-Control Dishonesty). Handguns should only be for protection, not because you want to kill someone. The second amendment states that it is your right to bear arms(Gun Control Costing States).…

62% of the 31,000 deaths caused by a gun are suicides (Cornell 2). According to Arthur L. Kellerman, MD, “residents of homes where a gun is present are 5 times more likely to experience a suicide than residents of homes without guns” (A Case for Gun Control). I have experienced the effects of suicide within my own family. One month ago, my cousin Marisa committed suicide. She was 26 years old and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia a few years prior to the tragic incident.…

Gun Control is Not the Solution Increased Gun Control in the United States is absurd, useless, and unnecessary. In order to increase safety all throughout the United States time and effort must not be spent towards limiting gun owners of their rights. The tragic rash of school, religious, and workplace shootings has turned up the heat on the public conversation about guns. In nearly all of these cases gun laws would not have stopped the shooters from obtaining a firearm.…
