“Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.” Greed is society's worst enemy. We need to be more thankful for what we have, but today in society commercialism and advertising makes it harder than ever to avoid the bottomless pit. We need to try extremely hard not to want what we can’t have. As humans, we thrive on the idea of what could be, not what is. To be truly, enviably happy we need to stop wanting and start being thankful.
