What brought me to George Brown College is my dreams. First of all, I never thought of being a Computer Programmer in the future. When I was a child I always dreamt of being a Police officer, so that I can save and catch all the criminals in the world, but as I grew up and reach high school level my way of thinking changed. My desire of being a police officer disinterested me when I started living alone back in my third year of high school, I always feel lonely that every night I wouldn't sleep without crying. I left high school tired and confused. Having my whole life desired one thing and pursued one love – a love for the art and science of literature, for inkblots on bare paper, for the destruction of the pristine with the flawed beauty of the written word – I was wasted, rendered exhausted by the pressures under which I forced myself to toil for four long years. I had lost my way, stumbling off a path I once knew so well, weighed down by my wide array of interests, terrified to commit to one and be glued to it, riddled with regret, for the rest of my life. Feeling trapped, I regarded the list of schools to which I had been accepted, selected one I believed covered all bases, and, throwing up my hands, I entered undeclared.…

You should consider me to take part in the Pathway to the Baccalaureate Program for the reason that it would dramatically improve my chance at succeeding in my future career objectives. My primary motivation that led me to seek out this program originated from my desire to receive a bachelor’s degree, something that neither of my parents have obtained. The Pathway Program appealed to me as it would provide a counselor that would help me outline the steps I would need to take to reach my academic goals. The Pathway Program would help me attain my academic goals by easing my transition between high school, NOVA, and then finally to a four-year university. Additionally, the Pathway Program would give me suggestions on the colleges I am eligible for, which would help remove the stress that I would otherwise accumulate from applying to colleges without any assistance from others.…
