The FDA and the World Health Organization both agree that there is no proof that GMO foods are a greater risk to humans than normal, unmodified foods (Chrispeels, 2014). There is strong scientific evidence that these foods are safe. A recent animal feeding study showed no difference in nutrition between GM or non-GM foods. It can even be said that no documented negative health effects have been linked to genetic engineering in human populations (Novella, 2014). There also has been no scientific evidence that this technology would cause super weeds to be created (Boyer, 2004).…

People also believe that GM crops will cause mutations in other non-GM plants. There is no evidence of substantial genetic drift between GM and non-GM species (Klinkenborg).…

Bees pollinate plants to make honey, but now these GM plants are producing insecticides on their own and killing off insects that would pollinate them. After a while these insects will eventually begin to completely die out and no longer be able to exist. With these insects being harmed the ecosystem will change and be thrown off balance. Given all of these reasons I can't see why anyone would be for something such as genetically modified foods. With how they harm the ecosystem and with what we don't know about them, we could be in danger of something that could harm humans if the correct cautions are not taken.…
