It is common practice when an expert knowledge of one specific field in a science improves best practices in the field of another system. For instance, an Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is a scientific method of medical researches. This a method to utilize clinical research findings to improve medical decision making and lowers risk. From another side, there is a system of the Best-Evidence Rule In the field of criminal justice. It is a legal principle that agrees an original copy of a document as superior evidence. As a result, a correction system understands an Evidence-Based Practice as the scope of researches and data around processes, yet the specific tools which can improve correctional outcomes, such as reduced recidivism.
