Pros And Cons Of Egalitarian Pay Structure

The writer would like to believe that colleges operate an Egalitarian pay structure. This type of pay structure does not have multiple levels, and the differentials are smaller (Milkovich, 2014). One of the pros of the Egalitarian pay structure is high employee morale, mainly because all employees are on an equal playing field. Although there are different titles, employees receive the same rights and privileges. Unlike the hierarchical pay structure, instructors, assistant professors, associate professors, and full professors do not require direction to complete their objectives effectively (McMullen, 2017).
