It would seem to me our war on drugs and tough crime laws have actually backfired. We have created a correctional overcrowding epidemic and the future looks bleak. I do not believe men or woman with drug addition problems will have any chance at reform in a correctional institution. I do believe there are some drug rehabilitation facilities that work and have high percentages of success. However, most people can’t afford those particular options, and the alternatives are low funded programs with low percentages of success stories. I think a lot of this stems from our countries change in values and a breakdown in the traditional family. Good post!
