Drug Legalization In America, there is not a single person who has died from marijuana (also called/known as weed, cannabis, and pot) and there are more than 600,000 people who die annually from cigarettes and 800,000 people who die annually from alcohol. Most of these deaths are caused by lung cancer from cigarettes and car accidents from being drunk. This resource essay will analyze why marijuana can actually help people and is not damaging like the legal drugs such as cigarettes and alcohol, and how America should worry about the legalized drugs that are harming the other Americans. There have been news that marijuana is stopping cancer cells from spreading and stopping symptoms from other diseases. Clearly legalizing cannabis is a good idea since it is a type of cure and painkiller, hasn 't killed anyone, is better and healthier than cigarettes, alcohol, and basically the rest of the legal medications. The American government has to start opening its eyes on the things that can help America be a better country and focus on the things that they already have but are not affecting America in a bad way. Now that I have proven why most of these people are trying to legalize marijuana and why it is a big deal in society right now, you can realize how it can (and is) a really good impact in our country. I think it is important for Americans and our government to give us the opportunity to try legalizing cannabis and try to do something about legal drugs (such as alcohol and cigarettes) in order to make America safer and healthier over the years. It won 't happen in a matter of seconds, it will take time, but would you rather live in a country that helps their people die or helps them actually live and enjoy a healthy
