Soda composition may lead to 184,000 deaths a year(CNN. Cable News Network, n.d. Web. 23 Apr. 2016.). That number is way to large. If there was a tax on soda that number will greatly decrease. Not only would it make some people never drink soda, but it would reduce the everyday drinking. A pop a week isn’t an issue, but there are way too many americans that have a pop a day or even for every meal. What health issues does soda cause? Many, and they aren't all directly related to drinking soda. Let’s say you start becoming minorly obese. There are a ton of side effects of obesity. Maybe you get high levels of sugar in your body. That can lead to all kinds of issues that you don't want to ever deal with. Think about all of the health issues that will be solved if we taxed soda.
