During a time where high school students have been exposed to technology since infancy, physical education class has been taking advantage of the situation. It is so easy to get most of the tedious aspects of teaching done with a few taps of a touchscreen, so the majority of the time can be spent on movement and learning. This can be done through a number of ways, but the most effective would be using an IPad. Before technology, teachers were up to their elbows in paperwork, but with the help of an IPad, paperwork disappears. You can use your IPad to take attendance right on a school 's server or online grading program. This is a quick access to tracking attendance, and more efficient than clipboard and paper. With this app, you can log your calorie intake and exercise and track progress, while simultaneously encouraging its practice. In addition to this app, and countless others like it, a device exists that can record your steps, exercise, food, water, and heart rate, known as a Fitbit. A fitbit is a rubber wristband with a technological chip inside that can measure your steps per day and find your heart rate. The Fitbit comes with an app that can also keep track of your food and water intake. These creations are both masters at encouraging students to go out of their way to get fit and exercise, outside of gym
