The push for equality must not be silenced. NFL player Colin Kaepernick is not doing this as an act of defiance, or to say anything more than his stance and push against systematic racism. In a negative regard, he states “A globalist mentality teaches students they are citizens of the world rather than citizens of America - The multiculturalist mind-set values racial, gender, and ethnic identities and regards national identities as reactionary and exclusive” (Brooks, 11-12).
