“The madwoman in the darkening window grinned. She understood it had been the last thing Bradley Trevor had ever seen, and she screamed, screamed as loudly as she could… but only inside, because her throat was locked and her vocal cords were frozen” (King 265). Now that Dan Torrance has been sustained by an AA community in a small town in New Hampshire, Dan comforts the dying at a nursing home, where he’s better known as “Doctor Sleep”. Before Dan can live a normal life without his ‘shining’, Dan meets young Abra Stone. Together, they will fight the True Knot and defeat the vampires with insidious intentions permanently. Dan Torrance is searching for redemption. Abra is looking for a hand to hold. True Knot is scrutinizing for meals. Adult Danny Torrance is seeking forgiveness. He feels guilty partly because of his hereditary drinking problem from his dad, Jack Torrance. One morning, Dan had slept with a woman named Deenie.
