One of the most memorable times I have encountered workplace bullying was in the military, as obvious as that might seem to some people this was definitely not normal hazing. I have both suffered and inflicted multiple forms of bullying in a workplace. The first would be isolation, you are cut off from the rest of the command and are not allowed to talk to anyone outside your immediate supervisors. Then comes the constraint of professional responsibilities, the trainee was only assigned same repetitive tasks that held little to no value. During all of it verbal abuse would be constant, being ridiculed and insulted for not being fully qualified was a daily routine. Somedays the bullying was unique, some things I cannot say but it was not pleasurable, and the closest thing that I can describe it as is the destruction of professional reputation, because it devalued your standing within the rest of the
