Hi Everyone,

The following students are registered to take the Common Core (Tues., 1/26 at 1:15 pm) and Comprehensive (Wed., 1/27 at 1:15 pm) ELA Regents (even though some may not necessarily take both exams).

Purple Highlight = students not currently registered in Cycle 2’s 2nd or 6th period Comp. Lit.; names in bold green = have been personally and highly recommended to take both exams;
* = ineligible to take the Comprehensive exam - can only take the Common Core exam; everyone else = has been strongly encouraged to only take the Common Core exam: Aguilera, Milan Alvarez, Deysi* Amemiya, Haruka Antunez, Sandra Artis, Ceray Baez, Ismael Ballesteros, Josefa* Barcia, Melany Barrie, Abubacar Besse, Chantee Betancout, Mathew …show more content…
After-school tutoring is available in Room 206 from 2:45 to 4:00 pm this week (except on Wednesday, 1/20).

A wiki has been set up to help students prepare for both exams and can be found here: http://bit.do/regents.

Several plans are also in place for those students who do not pass either exam or are not registered to take these Regents:
As indicated above in bold green, some students on this list will also be taking the older Comprehensive Regents, allowing them a second chance or "safety net" in the event they do not pass the Common Core exam;
During Cycle 3, Debate is being offered to prepare our learners for the Argument Essay (Part 2) of the newer Common Core Regents;
Moreover, Regents Prep (a.k.a. ‘Comparative Lit’) will be provided again (for ENL and ICT students as well) in Cycle 4, focusing on both versions of the June Regents.
