Chemical weapons are a very dangerous and unpredictable type of weapon that has been used throughout history. Chemical weapons are created using what is produced from living organism as a weapon to harm or kill a whole population. These weapons are often gases such as Mustard Gas and Chlorine gas. Not only are these weapons easy to create but they are cheap as well. This has brought up many names for these weapons. But, some are more well known than others. Even though the bans and restrictions on the use and development are very strict they people still find ways to work with these weapons. There were many reasons that these weapons were banned one reason is, “chemical weapons are not as reliable as normal ordinance.”(Shoults) What the author is trying to explain is that these weapons have a high risk of not staying on the battlefield. The chemicals can be easily moved through the air as well as in the bodies of enemy infantry that survive the attack. Another reason for the ban on the use of the weapons is the fact that their precursors are not only utilized in war but in industry as well(OPCW). This just gives organizations similar to the OPCW a more of a reason to fight the use of these weapons in the world
