Darby Dickerson’s article goes over facts about why campus carry isn’t the best way to keep our universities safe. First, Dickerson states that when talking about guns it can (Dickerson) “turn a constructive meeting into one filled with fear and intimidation”. He also states that campus carry could cause another tragedy like for instance the mass shooting at Virginia Tech that occurred on April 16, 2007. Second, Dickerson also discusses how researchers discovered that young college students do not have fully developed brains when it comes to having good judgment.
