Pros And Cons Of Bringing Dogs To Work Programs

Decent Essays
I personally think that Bringing Your Dogs to Work program is a good and bad option.

The program would be a good idea for dog owners to bring their dogs to work with them so they would not have to leave work early to let them out. Workers would be able to stay extra hours and finish projects, papers, etc.. Employees think that the progra would make more workers relaxed and show up to work more often. Places that allow pets report higher job satisfaction. Nearly one in five American companies that allow pets in the workplace wouldn't continue to do so unless it was an effective employment idea.

The program would be a bad idea for dog owners to bring their dogs to work because some people are allergic to dogs. Some employees are anxious

I think that dogs should get to stay with their owner. Dogs get adjusted to the humans they are with every day. As the author stated in the passage “Together Jose and Zenit formed an elite team.” Zenit will only listen to Jose and their other team mates if there were any other team mates. Dogs are easy to train once they know who you are.…

In the "In Support of Bringing Dogs to Work" its saying that dogs would make the work place a more produtive place. The person who wrote this just clearly just wants to spend more time with his or her dog.…

A topic often discussed with students at school is whether or not drug-sniffing dogs should be allowed to search through our school. Some arguments against allowing them is their invasion of privacy, disruption of class, and how they are ineffective. 1} Within both of the passages there are things I agree with. There are good things to bringing your dog to work, but then again there are bad things as well. Both passages made very good points, but this is how I feel about it. 2} In response to the first passage I agree, I do think people should be a loud to bring there dog to work, whatever the reason may be, for example: if your dog is a service dog and you need to have it with you, or if being away from your dog worries you.…

I strongly do not support the Bring Your Dog Work program. Many reasons expressed in the second passage show why the program could turn out to be a problem for many office workers. To begin, I understand that some people may find it easier to work around thier dogs, but not everyone does. It would be very possible for workers who have had bad experiences with dogs in the past to obtain anxiety from being around them. That kind of psychological distress could cause decreased work productivity.…

Reading these two passages my opinion is that the company shouldn't allow their employees to bring their dogs to work. First, some of the employees could be allergic to dogs and or scared of them. Next, dogs can be unsanitary. Finally, the employees might need to take more breaks and also the dogs could be a distraction to their work.…

I love the idea of a calm, healthy workplace filled with satisfied employees as much as the next person. I also like the energy being put into creating such an environment, but I don't think dogs are the answer. While dogs are pretty amazing almost all of the time, I have to agree that if there is a solution to be found it has to be fair, and not everyone can just enjoy their co-workers chihuahua at their desk. As stated in the opposing argument, dogs can trigger a lot of anxiety for some individuals for many reasons: "My co-worker Gregory is anxious around dogs because he was bitten by a friend's dog. " Not to say the research that found dogs to be a form of stress-relief is incorrect or invalid, but there are other options when it comes to reducing anxiety in your place of employment.…
