In the past, when it came for preparing for a career, the thought used to be the more education received the better. Now time is proving not to be that simple. With most jobs being offshored to other countries for cheaper labor, it is just as important what type of education was received as how much education was received. Some jobs are practically impossible to offshore making those specific jobs a better choice for obtaining a stable future. Certain skills offer the best chances to land the best job available. While growing up society has always taught people to go to college, get a good education, in order to get a good job. Businesses have been offshoring more and more jobs through the recent years. At first it was more understandable jobs like manufacturing and call centers. People working these jobs needed little education and the business can take advantage of the countries cheap labor laws. The most recent jobs being offshored are more sophisticated like lawyers or computer coders. A job just needs to be impersonal and it qualifies to be offshored. The person doing the job has no need to be physically present, therefore the job can be completed from anywhere in the world and just emailed back to the recipient. There are still some jobs that would be impossible to accomplish oversees, and those are the jobs people should be working towards obtaining. The jobs that are safe from offshoring are personal jobs that require an in person presence. A doctor or a Plummer both need to be physically present in order to complete their desired task. Some of the safe jobs require a great deal of education while others require basic common sense, that is why the level of education a person receives is no longer as important as what kind of education they
