Are you always bored? Well if you are, do something about it because being bored is awful. Boredom is the empty feeling of having nothing to do or wanting to do. It can also put you at risk. Kids nowadays are always bored. What kids would normally do when they are bored is watch T.V. If kids are constantly bored, that means more T.V. More T.V increases the risk of blindness. Watching T.V is also a waste of time. Kids should be doing their homework instead of watching SpongeBob. Their grades can drop if they watch too much T.V. Teenagers would also neglect their homework to play on their phones. There are many social media apps that teenagers tend to keep up with. Thus, they stay on their phones while their homework needs to be finished. …show more content…
Don’t believe me? Dr. John Eastwood, psychologist at York University, Toronto, states that being bored can lead to major depression. When people are bored and have nothing to do, they tend to think. They can think about their life or other things. That can make them go into depression. Thinking too much can give you a headache. Being bored can also lead to overeating. If there is nothing to do, people would just eat. There is no limit to eating. As a result, people would eat, and eat, and eat until they are stuffed. If they are constantly bored, that would lead to more eating every single day. Thus, they become obese. The risk of making mistakes is also caused by boredom. Trying not to make mistakes requires attention. You can’t make mistakes without the lack of attention. Say you are walking and daydreaming at the same time. You’re admiring the beautiful sky, then all of a sudden you fall down. You just hit a pole. See, you were not paying attention to where you were walking. Some people take walks when they are bored. People can also make mistakes on tests. For example, if someone is bored while taking a test, they think about something other than the test. That can lead to not finishing the test or getting wrong answers. Being bored can affect someone’s life big
