At first look being an indentured servant seems nice. You get your fare to the american colonies fully paid for by you master and once you got there you would get room and board while working in your master’s fields. As well as that when you finished your term you would get something called freedom dues which might include land, money, food or a variety of other things. Finally there were laws that protected indentured servants rights. Although there were those good things, there was a lot of bad. For example while they did get a place to live, the conditions in which they lived were poor. As well as that even though they had some rights they didn’t have as many.
