The devotion and love towards animals should be there, but without the drive to help every species of animals on a daily basis, it’s not enough.

I want to be a vet because I can’t stand seeing dead animals rotting on the sideways. I can’t stand seeing stranded dogs scavenging for food, when they can have a home. I, cannot stand — For one second — See human beings use torturous and inhumane abuse upon animals for their own source of pure “entertainment”.

Fenton argues veterinarians are using the love of pet owners for their own benefit, while leaving those in questionable financial situations without any veterinary care at all. Fenton delivers a convincing argument supported with data and emotional appeals, but his failure to adequately consider opposing facts and credible opinion calls into question not only his conclusion, but the logic of his argument.…

Natterson-Horowitz taught me that physicians are no better than any other type of doctor but are at an equal level to all types of doctors that practice in any area of medicine. She exclaimed that many physicians believe that veterinary medicine is lower than human medicine because of the high self image humans have of themselves. This TEDMED talk also moved me when it was revealed that animals experience many of the same mental disorders and anguish that humans do.…
