Pros And Cons Of Being A Sociopath

The curious condition known as sociopathy holds the bewilderment of anyone who studies the illness beyond its surface. Someone who is a sociopath is someone who feels no emotion, no regard for feelings, no guilt, no emotional pain. Essentially a sociopath is a human with no humane senses. It can be hard to distinguish a sociopathic person to a normal person because sociopaths often pretend to have emotions as a manipulation tool to get whatever they want. Because sociopaths feel no emotions, they also have no sense of guilt. Just imagine yourself without the ability to ever feel guilty. Could you imagine the possibilities? The potential hurt? An instant change in the way you see and interpret everything? This condition is not referred to as a disease, for a sociopath feels no dis ease. Anyone around you at any given time could be someone who is unable to feel human emotions.
Despite the astounding number of these people, it is rare for someone to ever know that they have encountered a sociopath unless they become a victim. If this number is true, there are a vast amount of those with no regard to others well-being for their own personal gain. This is a bigger epidemic than most people realize. Just imagine the destruction people with this condition can cause (rape, murder, abuse, etc.).
What makes this condition so intriguing is the lack of knowledge on the subject. Sociopathy is unlike any psychological disorder we have studied thus far. Because sociopaths have no guilt, emotional feelings, compassion, or empathy, they do not have a conscience (also known as the seventh sense). The absence of a conscience results in all of these problems that a sociopath has. You simply cannot just give someone a conscience.
