Pros And Cons Of Becoming A Paramedic

Decent Essays
Becoming a Paramedic is an interesting career path because it is fast paced, they can help save lives, and they learn how to save others. It’s not always sunshine and cupcakes. Its actually a lot harder then most believe, somedays they are helping a old lady to another hospital building, then next they have throw up all over their uniform. Yuck! But that comes with the job, they meet all kinds of people in this field, but some are weirder then others. But that isn’t everyday in this field some are slow and sluggish, not very fast paced. Thats the beauty of this job, every day is different then the last.

When seeking a career as a physical therapist, a person must carefully look into the responsibilities this will entail, the skills one must have to succeed, plus other important aspects such as working conditions, salary, and the future of the job; however, just as important is to carefully seek out the University Of Texas Pan-American (UTPA) which will best prepare one for this profession. The tasks and responsibilities of a physical therapist include Patient Assessment: “physical therapist must perform an initial assessment of a patient’s illness or trauma in order to determine what the best course of action will be to restore mobility, alleviate pain or prevent further deterioration.
