In 2008 the rate of a peanut allergy was 1.4%. That might not seem like a lot, but only a decade earlier it was 0.4%. With a sudden increase of peanut allergies, should schools do something? I think not.
Instead of banning peanut allergies altogether I think we should educate students and staff about the dangers of peanuts allergies and other allergies. Also, instead of Banning peanuts altogether, I think that schools should just ban certain classrooms that have kids with peanut allergies or other allergies. According to the article “Should peanuts be banned from schools?” If your child spends 80% of his day in that class, having it peanut free will greatly reduce his chances of coming in contact with his allergen during the day.
