Pros And Cons Of Banning Animal Testing

Imagine living inside a locked closet. Only wide enough to lay down and tall enough for you to stand. The small space is dark and cold. You have no control of your life and each day is a guessing game. You cannot choose when you will eat, what you will do that day, and you have no idea if you will ever be able to get out of the cage. Each day is a struggle to stay alive. This description is the life of an animal in a testing laboratory. These innocent creatures spend their lives locked up as prisoners. Cold, lonely, and terrified. Each day could be their last. Not one animal is safe. Animal testing should be banned is all U.S laboratories due to cruel and painful procedures, unreliable results, and replaced with alternatives.
Animal testing is a procedure performed on living animals by scientists to research into diseases, medicine, and industry products. All kinds of species are used during animal experimentation such as mice, rabbits, birds, cats, dogs, and farm animals. These scared animals are kept locked up inside small cages for days, weeks, or even months before they are taken out and used for any procedures. Most of the animals that die are killed during or right after their painful procedure. If lucky enough to make it through the experiment, the animal is thrown back into a cage until they are needed to be tested again. This is an ongoing cycle until the animal dies during the procedure or is too weak to survive any longer.
Animal testing is a major topic which has been an ongoing debate for many years. The opposing side may argue that animal testing is necessary for discovering cures and treatments for diseases. Opponents may also claim animals feel little to no pain. The people who favor animal testing believe animals do not have rights, which allows experiments to be
