What should people think about animal testing? Do they think it is okay or not okay? There is some good and some bad for animal testing. Animal testing helps improve human health but it dangers the animals scientist are using for the experiments.
The major pros of animal testing is that it has helped humans in great ways. Testing helps researchers to find drugs and treatments for the people. Like some testing helps find treatments for cancer or other really bad illnesses. It also improves human health by a huge amount. By improving human health with animal testing it could help people live a lot longer. Animal testing also helps ensure the safety of drugs and alternative methods of testing and it does not stimulate humans in the same way as

Most of the animal tests are more expensive than alternative methods and are a waste of government research dollars. The government spends over millions just to have some research done on animals for the people. The government could spend money on other ways to test medicine instead of using animals. Instead they rather spend thousands on testing and hurting the animals that did nothing to people. They should try finding other resolutions besides animal testing but they haven’t. Cosmetics are not able to be tested on animals anymore. When cosmetics used to have animals tested with it the animals looked terrible. The word got around and people were against it and it finally stopped. Will animal testing be resolved or will they spend more thousands on it? “An "unscheduled DNA synthesis" animal test costs $32,000, while the in vitro alternative costs $11,000. A "rat phototoxicity test" costs $11,500, whereas the non-animal equivalent costs $1,300. A "rat uterotrophic assay" costs $29,600, while the corresponding in vitro test costs $7,200.” …show more content…
The scientist that test wants to make at least one hundred and fifty monkey babies per year. That is just crazy. Also after the monkey babies are born they are taken away from their mother three days prior to being birthed. Also another doctor is putting cuffs around the neck of the bladder on monkeys so they will not urinate or they will pee slower with it on. That same scientist is sewing the monkey babies eyes shut! What is the reason for that? What is the possibility of that helping humans in any way by sewing their eyes shut. The babies of the monkeys have no right to get their eyes shut for absolute no reason. “This terrible scientist is sewing the babies of the monkeys eyes shut.”

Makeup industries such Revlon and other types of industries had discontinued animal testing simply because it doesn’t work anymore. “The food and Drug Administration (FDA) has noted 92 percent of all drugs that are shown to be safe and effective in animal tests fail in human trial because they don’t work or are dangerous”, claims Noah Berlatsky in his document, Animal Testing is Bad Science. Yet, the biggest reason for the discontinuation is advances in technology. “In 2009, industry trade group Cosmetics Europe, along with a division of the European Commission on Research & Innovation, launched a $68-million research initiative to develop lab technologies and computational models capable of predicting the toxicity of chemicals in humans” says Gregory Mone in his article, New Models in Cosmetics Replacing Animal Testing. Nowadays, this gives industries a better advantage in decision to invest their money into better accuracy rather than failed…

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

Monsters We Created - Animal Testing Universally, animal testing has a famous reputation known for things like medicinal production and (mainly) cosmetic purposes; however, while these experiments may make humans look more beautiful and attractive, the animals’ treatment in these experiments looks horribly ugly in comparison. People have disputed the controversy of animal testing for many years, mainly questioning the morals of animal experimentation or trying to justify it. From this point of the history animals have been used for various psychological and biological reasons but now we face with a debate were people believe that animals shouldn’t be used in experiments.
