If you worked in a lab and were trying to find a cure for some disease, would you test on animals? If you do you would cause that animal and the other animals harm and stress. Not to mention the cost of animal testing is very expensive.

What exactly is animal testing? Animal testing is when scientists use animals for research and experiments. This has been going on since around 500 B.C. "Research on living animals has been practiced since at least 500 BC.", Procon.org. "The term "animal testing" refers to procedures performed on living animals for purposes of research into basic biology and diseases,", Humane Society International. Both quotes show what animal testing is and how long it has been around.
