As I was watching a television show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., one of the characters invented something that they called an "icer." It was a gun that shot out dendrotoxins so the victim would be temporarily paralyzed, but not killed. It seemed to me that with the incidents of police brutality that have been prevalent in our news lately, a non-lethal weapon seems like it could be a benefit. We've had many news reports of accidental police shootings due to panic. If the policeman pulls out and shoots an icer, he/she will be able to keep the attacker at a distance while not fatally harming them. There aren't any other weapons that currently exist like this.
