Abortion Some people would say abortion is one of the most controversial topics in America today right along with gay marriage and gun control. Killing an unborn child sounds like there should be no controversy at all and it should be illegal. “A 2012 study published in the journal Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health found that the vast majority of women seeking an abortion - 87 percent - had high confidence in their decisions” (Harris). Most anti abortion advocates would call it murder, however there are some circumstances where abortion seems like the most logical answer. You are either “pro-life” or “pro-choice”; it almost seems like there is no in between, but there can be. The pro-life people, who are often religious, believe that the babies that are being aborted have unalienable right from the time of conception therefore abortion should be considered murder (ProQuest Staff). Roe v. Wade made aborting a child in the first trimester legal and women whose health is at risk may get an abortion during the second trimester. This is what made pro-life come to life.
