Pros And Cons Of A. N. R Drilling

The A.N.W.R Drilling, Good or Bad

I support the A.N.W.R drilling. The reason I think we should drill is simple, Americas success. Americas economy will go up if we do this, and if the economy is up everything in America will go smoother. America will also gain power because the more money you have, the more you can fund for the U.S army

Don't think that it will hurt nature or the natives because the oil companies fund the natives, and if only one ounce of oil spills it is considered an “oil spill”. The oil companies also fund schools, and the more money a school has the better resources they can afford. The government also gets funding and that means that their law enforcement will be better so they can be safer

If America has oil we

The Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill was a tragic mishap on BP’s behalf, killing several rig workers and having many other outreaching effects. The amount of crude oil that was spilled into the Gulf of Mexico over the course of approximately three months was 4.9 million barrels of oil and to go along with that, 2 million gallons of chemical dispersants to the Gulf. A major group of crude oil, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) was discovered along the northern shorelines of the Gulf of Mexico. PAH effected several species of wildlife including Dolphins, the Tundra Peregrine Falcon, and shrimp. PAH or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, concentration levels in May 2010 were higher than in May 2011, a mere five times higher, which indicates…

    Why Is Fracking Be Banned

    • 235 Words

The current fracking industry should be completely banned due to the extreme waste of resources, the danger to the public, and the laws that fracking can be free from. To begin with, the fracking industry wastes more resources than it creates. Each site requires an estimate of 13,000 diesel truck trips, 5 acres per well pad, and 5 million gallons of fresh water per fracking cycle. The resources wasted by just one site is absolutely massive, causing water to be lost, acres to be completely covered, and more trucks for the site. Another problem is the danger fracking is to the public near these industries.…

The only way offshore drilling can become most effective and productive is if the commutation and cooperation between scientist, oil companies, communities and the government is…

There is a current sociological event happening right now, where thousands of people have passed or are passing through the camp of Standing Rock calling themselves water protectors. A 1,200-mile-long pipeline is being constructed by a Texas based energy company called Energy Transfer. The pipeline also known as the Dakota Access Pipeline, is designed to transport 570,000 barrels of crude oil per day from North Dakota to Illinois. The Pipeline project originally proposed to go over the Missouri River but was rejected due to the fact that it was too close to residential areas, roads, and lands. Approved by a government agency the US Corps of Engineers, the pipeline is now approved to be built under the Missouri River and this portion of…

Following are two reasons for my opinion. Reason number one is that consequences of drilling, such as the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill, have been proven to develop long-lasting negative effects on our world. Of course, it would be ludicrous to drill for oil with the knowledge that we would be killing plants, animals, and food resources for other human beings if an occurrence such as this were to happen. In addition, with the knowledge that we most likely will not get enough oil from this reserve to last us a single year, it again seems foolish to spend our time and money drilling for oil where there is no advantage for doing…

To Drill or Not to Drill It is an evaluation of possible economic gains against the anticipated environmental impacts when a debate ensues on whether America should perform offshore tests and drill the Atlantic Sea bed. Proponents for the drilling initiative believe that the move will ensure that America becomes independent on its own energy and propel its economic growth. However, those who do not support the move highlight possible environmental degradation and the associated health problems. While the differences may determine the direction of the debate, the moral responsibility of all the participants is to promote environmental protection and conversation of the marine life (Kuhr, 2014).…
