Pros And Cons Of A Manned Mission To Mars

The idea of a manned-mission to mars has intrigued thousands of minds, but like me, lots have turned it down. I don’t think a manned-mission to mars is a good idea, due to physical, logical, and financial needs. Undeniably, a mission to mars would be too physically challenging. First, adapting to the climate would cause trouble. For example, the average temperature on mars is -61 degrees Fahrenheit. Since the average temperature of the United States is more than -1 degrees, the human body cannot adapt that quickly, and people will die. First, launch times for the spaceship have to be exceptionally precise. For example, because of mars’ distance from earth, and the difference between Earth and Mars’ orbitation around the sun, NASA must time their launches almost exactly. Since this time crush is so great, people will die if the launch time is missed, and that's just another reason why this trip is a bad idea. Second, the length of time to reach Mars is a long time. For example, the time to reach mars is almost 296 more days more than the time to reach the moon. Since we are not accustomed to this time, people can die of several things. Last, the spaceship speeding at mars will not have time to stop, with the technology we have now. For example, Mars atmospheric pressure is less than 1 percent of Earth’s, making it nearly impossible for the spaceship to slow at an estimated 13,000 mph. Since the speed is too fast, and not enough slowing, everyone in the spaceship will die. In conclusion, the logical needs of this mission cause dangers on this trip, and risk people’s lives, showing that we should not go to
