Pros And Cons For America's Future Vison

America’s future vison is continually changing. It appears that regardless of the ideas one sets for America it is never followed through. George Washington, one of America’s first great leaders and presidents, warned the young nation not to allow factions, such as political parties and foreign affairs to take part in United States. With the introduction of the Dream Act, came many opposing views. Although the DREM Act has specific conditions that each undocumented immigrant would have to meet through the application process, “after five years, DREAM Act-eligible immigrants would be granted citizenship and those with blue-card status would be eligible to become legal permanent residents” (The Senate's 3). Conservative strongest criticism of this legislation is the Dream Act would grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. (The Senate's 3). Since there is no way to verify when an illegal immigrant child came to America, The Dream Act would be difficult to track and encourage further influx of illegal immigrants to enter America who seek a better life for their family.…

America would not have a purpose if it were not for trying to seduce other countries into its way of thinking. Wilson’s Fourteen Points would eventually go on to creating a nation “committed to the principles of liberal democracy and free enterprise... the values distinguishing the United States itself (Bacevich, 11). Bacevich argues how that same Wilsonian paradigm is still present in our society today. After the catastrophe of September 11, President George W. Bush would go on to show that he also believed it was America’s destiny to rid mankind of “the darkness” present in our world (Bacevich, 12).…

The question of what our founding fathers -Washington, Madison, Hamilton, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Burr- actually wanted for America’s future is hard to tell and it requires a close look into the past and analysis of each of their thoughts. After gaining independence from Great Britain in 1776 by writing the famous Declaration of Independence, our founding fathers faced the hardship of determining what the future of America would hold. Many people might argue that our progenitors wanted a democratic society which gave full power to the people. However, through “Founding Brothers the Revolutionary Generation” by Joseph J. Ellis this statement is wrong, and that the fathers of our current democratic America actually never wanted a democracy at all, but instead wanted a Republic. The difference between these two forms of government is vital and introduces us into the thoughts of the revolutionary minds.…

George Washington, the first official president of the United States, was a man who envisioned a reformed nation. From April 30, 1789 to March 4, 1797, Washington served as the United States leader, and during his time, established a nation that eventually got reshaped throughout the years, but when it was his time to step down from presidency, he left his position with words of advice. The DREAM Act has not been without critics. Many critics think the DREAM Act will translate to amnesty for people who illegally enter this country (Rivera; Barron). Others claim it will increase crime or other illegal activities (Rivera; Mahoney; Barron; Kim), though there is not much compelling evidence for that claim (Perez). Many critics claim that the influx of immigrants will burden America’s economy as these illegal immigrants take advantage of public assistance (Mahoney; Barron). These individuals claim that the benefits provided by the DREAM Act to the illegal immigrants have negative effects on the country or otherwise overly favour the immigrants and their children.…
