By raising the minimum it will destroy low income jobs, for families and people trying to find a entry job to make a living, as seen in this quote, “A higher minimum wage encourages firms to hire already trained workers...eliminates opportunities for low skill workers”(Ozimek). When minimum wage is increased businesses look to hire already trained or experienced workers, because they are far less expensive to train. Leading to decreased job growth hurting the economy and the hard working families of america. Not only will it decrease job growth, but the raise in minimum wage will cause a great amount of inflation, further hurting the working class(Huppke). When the minimum wage is raised businesses will have to find money to pay their employees, and to do this they will raise prices making families’ hard earned money not go as far.
