Proponents of Evidence-based medicine (EBM) believe that it “improves patient care, improves quick knowledge update, helps to unify the quality of care provided, is a good educational tool and a convenient source of advice” (Farha et al., 2014). This benefits patients and no harm were done to them. There are several clinical trials that are conducted where the scientists and in turn the clinicians believe in the cause. Also, the EBM aided in the clinicians’ decision making to evaluate the results based on the patient’s situation, clinical expertise, and patient’s values.
